Peter Love Appointed Visiting Distinguished Research Fellow at Ryerson University’s Centre for Urban Energy

Ryerson University’s new Centre for Urban Energy announced the appointment of Peter Love as its second Hydro One Distinguished Research Fellow. Peter’s research will focus on issues associated with energy conservation and efficiency.

Eight leading energy services companies have joined together to create a new advocacy organization to promote greater use of performance based solutions to implement enery efficiency, renewable energy and infrastructure renewal projects. East Gwilliambury Report on Requiring On-Site Renewables

The Town of East Gwillimbury, north of Toronto, is expected to grow from a population of 20,000 to as many as 150,000 by 2050. It recently approved a comprehensive Community Energy Plan that, among many other recommendations, calls for a district energy system. The Town recently retained Peter to assist them in the implementation of their new plan. He also recently completed a report for the Town on requiring all new buildings to incorporate on-site renewables, as was first done in the London Borough of Merton.

New Course on Energy Efficiency at York University’s Faculty of Environmental Studies

Peter Love is an Adjunct Professor in York University’s Faculty of Environmental Studies. He joins Professors Mark Winfield and Jose Etcheverry in their work to advance energy conservation, efficiency and renewable energy to students as well as the broader community. Peter recently developed and presented a new 4th year course on the fundamentals of energy efficiency. He has also assisted in the creation of the Faculty’s new Sustainable Energy Initiative
